USS Ticonderoga meeting and auction information

The month of June brings about the USS Ticonderoga meeting and official monthly activity.  The meeting will be at the standard date/time/location of the second Wednesday of the month (June 13th) at the Weber County Library main branch (25th and Jefferson in Ogden) at 7:00pm (look for us in the basement meeting rooms).  If you have donations for the USS Ticonderoga auction, please bring them to the meeting so we can get them organized.

As you can probably guess, the USS Ticonderoga auction will be our official monthly activity for June.  The auction will take place on Saturday, June 16th at 2:00pm.  It will be held at the home of the Executive Officer, Dave Stock.  The address is 1190 West 1700 South in Syracuse.  There will be several members from the Seventh Fleet in attendance.  Please bring friends and chairs and enjoy our company in the backyard.  There will be a Taco Bar for dinner ($3.00/person or $10.00/family).  Checks and cash will be accepted.  The USS Ticonderoga charges no dues to join our Star Trek fan club (it already costs too much to be a Star Trek fan).  This is the same policy with our parent organization, the Seventh Fleet.  There are no dues to join our Star Trek family.  We use this fundraiser to cover basic operational costs (website, printing, awards, supplies, etc.) and keep the club dues free.  If you can help out, we would greatly appreciate it.  As you can see from our picture, apparently Garak outbid Quark on one of the items, will you be outbid?

April Monthly Meeting on the 11th

The USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 11th.  It will be in the same standard location of the Weber County Library-Main Branch on 25th and Jefferson Ave.  We will be meeting at 7:00pm in  one of the basement meeting rooms.  We would love to see everyone and don’t forget to bring a friend.   Also we will be heading to the Village Inn on 12th Street after the meeting.  See you there.

Star Trek Online demo at the next USS Ticonderoga meeting

Don’t forget that the next USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting is coming up on Wednesday, February 8th.  We will have some guest speakers from the Seventh Fleet Star Trek Online guild (fleet).  They will be showing us a demo of the Star Trek Online game on the projector.  The meeting will be held at 7:00pm at the Weber County Library (25th and Jefferson) in the basement auditorium.  Don’t forget to bring any show an tell items (I know that several of you received some new medals at the Admiral’s Banquet).  We will be heading to the Village Inn afterwards for dinner.  Bring your friends and prepare to have some fun.

Also February 8th is Ethan Phillip’s birthday.  What is your favorite Neelix moment on Star Trek: Voyager?

January monthly meeting – planning our 2012 events

So it is time for the regular USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 11th.  As per usual this will be at 7:00pm at the Weber County Library meeting rooms on 25th and Jefferson.  Unlike other meetings, this meeting is a huge one for the crew.   This may be the last chance to order a Seventh Fleet Calendar on it’s final run ($10 a calendar).  Captain Erica Stark will have the latest information from the Seventh Fleet Council Meeting.  But most important, this will be the meeting that the club as a whole gets to plan out all of our events that we want to hold for 2012.  We will be talking about fleet banquets, fleet games, conventions (CONduit, Starfest and Star Trek Las Vegas) and more.

Bring your friends, bring your ideas and lets set a course into 2012.

December monthly meeting and annual gift exchange

Wednesday, December 14th is the date for the USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting.  As per usual it will be held at the Weber County Library-Main Branch (25th and Jefferson) at 7:00pm.  We will be meeting in the basement class room.  Besides this being the monthly meeting, it will also be our annual gift exchange.  This year we are calling it the Chartreuse Mugato (think White Elephant).  Home made items are encouraged. If you wish to purchase a gift, please do not exceed $10.

The winner of the December Caption Contest will be announced at the meeting.

As per usual, we will be heading out to the Village Inn on 12th Street for dinner/pie afterwards.  This is one of the largest attended meetings of the year and would be perfect to bring prospective members to check us out.  See you all there.

USS Ticonderoga meeting on October 12

Acting Captain Dave Stock will be conducting the meeting on Wednesday, October 12th at 7:00pm.  This will be held in the basement meeting rooms at the Main Branch of the Weber County Library (25th and Jefferson in Ogden).  Captain Erica Stark will be present but is still on doctor-ordered modified bed rest.  Thus she is currently on a medial leave of absence.  However they would love to see everyone at the meeting since this is one of the few times we can see everyone.

There will be a special report from the lastest adventure of Star Trek: USS Ticonderoga (RPG session).  Plus there will be lots of discussion of the upcoming USS Ticonderoga Halloween party and other upcoming holiday events.

USS Ticonderoga Monthly Meeting on July 13

The ever popular USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting is fast approaching on Wednesday, July 13th.  This will be at 7:00pm at our standard location, the Weber County Library at 24th and Jefferson in Ogden.  Captain Stark will have a variety of announcements, awards and promotions to give out.   There will be discussion on conventions and a special announcement from Crewman Ivan Podwys (see the entry below).

June USS Ticonderoga meeting on Wednesday the 8th

The crew at the May 2011 USS Ticonderoga meeting.

Don’t forget that the upcoming USS Ticonderoga meeting will be on Wednesday, June 8th at 7:00pm.  This will be at the Weber County Library (25th and Jefferson) in the auditorium.  Captain Erica Stark just attended the Seventh Fleet Council meeting last Saturday so she will have a ton of new announcements to present.  We have also had several new people show up at our previous meetings so lets give them a return welcome.

Bring your show-n-tell items, news and good times.  After the meeting we will be going to the Village Inn on 12th Street for dinner and free pie.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Guest speaker at May meeting

Greetings, All!

Just a quick reminder that we will be having a special guest presenter at the Ticonderoga meeting this Wednesday.  The usual half-hour socialization time will be cut very short to allow time for the presentation, so please try to be at the library on time.  We will be heading to dinner (and/or dessert) at the Village in on 12th street afterward.

See you all there.  =)

Free pie after USS Ticonderoga meetings

Last Wednesday was the USS Ticonderoga February meeting at the Weber County Library-Main Branch .  This was the first meeting conducted by newly minted Captain Erica Stark.  She announced that Crewman Hollie Caudell was named Crewman of the Year for 2010.  She also announced that Rear Admiral Carl Stark was announced as the January Crewmember of the Month for all of his hard work towards the chapter.

This was also the first opportunity to announce some of the new Department Chiefs.  Lieutenant Frank Buck will be staying as the Chief of Security.  Lieutenant John Barnes has accepted the position of Chief of Communications.  One of his main goals is to get the Ticonderoga Transmissions newsletter back up and running.  Crewman Hollie Caudell will be remaining as the Chief of Tactical.  There are still several other positions that need to be filled such as Civilian (Counselor), Chief of Conn, Chief of Engineering, Chief of Medical, Chief of Operations and Chief of Science.  If you wish to be considered for a position, feel free to email the Application to Captain Erica Stark.

A question that always seems to come up after the meeting is “Where are we going to go eat?”  The crew likes to gather after the meetings and events to continue the socialization in a relaxed setting.  Today Captain Stark has decided that as long as Village Inn continues with the Free Pie Wednesdays, we will go to the Village Inn located at 322 12th Street in Ogden.  We will usually get there about 9:00-9:15pm.  So even if you can’t join us for the meeting due to work, see if you can join us for dinner afterwards.
