Hey everyone. April is now upon us and it looks to be a very busy month. We’ve got several big ship, fleet and community events coming up that we need to plan for. And to do that we need to have our monthly USS Ticonderoga meeting. As with last month we will NOT be at the Weber County Library because they booked it for county events. So on Wednesday, April 10th we will be meeting at the home of Captain Stark in Clearfield. Also if you have talked with Kimbra about your CONduit costume, please bring the fabric to the meeting.

Location change for the March USS Ticonderoga meeting
This is a heads up to everyone. The Weber County Library had our rooms booked up for the next two months. So the March monthly meeting of the USS Ticonderoga will be at the home of Captain Stark in Clearfield. The meeting is still on Wednesday, March 13th and it will be at the same time (7:00pm) and will end about the same time since it is still a school/work night. Please bring your friends and show-n-tell items. We are also doing some additional planning for our CONduit room party.
February 2013 USS Ticonderoga meeting is coming up soon
This Wednesday, February 13th will be the next USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting. As per normal we will be holding it at the Weber County Library-Main Branch (25th and Jefferson) starting at 7:00pm. We will be discussing which laser tag arena that we want to go to (so bring your feedback). Don’t forget to bring a friend and a Star Trek item for your show-in-tell. See you there.
Also don’t forget that this Saturday, February 16th is the date of our laser tag event.
Happy New Year 2013
Welcome everyone to the year 2013 (Stardate: 66010.1 in the Seventh Fleet system). The year of 2012 held many good memories for us. Star Trek: The Next Generation turned 25 years old (and we are celebrating with the TNG Re-Watch Party that is still going on). We had the re-integration with Utah’s longest running Science Fiction convention, CONduit with special guest Tim Russ (Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager). At this convention the USS Ticonderoga won the Room Party Contest. The release of Star Trek: TNG blu-rays had two theater specials. The Seventh Fleet held a wonderful Admiral’s Banquet and Seventh Fleet games where we had fun with our Star Trek family. We started role-playing nights for Star Trek and Dungeons and Dragons. And Star Trek returned locally to our airwaves on KTVX 4.2.
So what are we looking forward to in 2013? This will be the 15th Anniversary of the founding of the Seventh Fleet. We had to pull together after our previous parent organization had disbanded. Even today challenges remain and new adventures await us. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine will turn 20 years old in 2013. Star Trek fan, author and historian, Larry Nemecek, will be attending CONduit 23 as a guest. And probably the biggest event, the new Star Trek Into Darkness will be released on May 17th. This will be an opportunity to promote both the movie and the club as well.
So what else will we be doing in 2013? There are many months that we could fill with many fun club activities. At the January 9th meeting we will be putting together the 2013 calendar of events. We need everyone to show up and submit your ideas and feedback on many different events and community service that the club can participate in. This will be at the Weber County Library-Main Branch (25th and Jefferson in Ogden). This is your club, what would you like to see it do?
Changes to November activity and December meeting
Greetings everyone. At the November USS Ticonderoga meeting we discussed some changes to the upcoming events. We would like to thank everyone who was in attendance and provided input (this is your club and we appreciate your involvement). Instead of doing the laser tag on November 17th, the crew elected to make the special theatrical showing of Star Trek: The Next Generation Season Two promo the monthly activity. This will be held at the Newgate Mall-Cinemark 14 Theaters. Please be in the lobby at 6:30pm so we can pass out flyers and recruit new members. Please be in uniform or Star Trek t-shirts.
Normally we have a monthly meeting every Second Wednesday of the month. However in December the Captain has a family concert on that date. As you all remember the December meeting is also when we do our gift exchange (a very popular event). Options were discussed and the crew elected to move the gift exchange to the End of the World Party that was already scheduled on Friday, December 21st. There will be no December monthly meeting to give everyone a break for the holidays.
If you have any questions, please post them in the comments below or contact your department chief.
November USS Ticonderoga meeting
Greetings everyone, the next USS Ticonderoga meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 14th. We need everyone to be in attendance as we need to talk about changes to the November activity (Laser tag) and the December meeting (also when we do our gift exchange). We also need to talk about the Next Generation Season 2 movie promotion at the end of November. So please be in attendance at 7:00pm (bring friends and family as well) so we can talk about what is happening over the next 2-3 months. Also Captain Stark will be giving a report from the Seventh Fleet Council meeting. There was lots of interesting and neat items discussed that she wants to pass on.
The USS Ticonderoga October Monthly Meeting is sneaking up on you
For a lot of people, September flew by with back to school, start of football and more. Not having a monthly activity to help break up the month didn’t help either. Luckily we have several events planned for October that we need to discuss at the October 10th USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting. Some of these include the Black Island Farms corn maze visit on Saturday, Oct 13th (we are trying to see if we can get a group discount so send in your RSVPs). We also need to talk about the upcoming USS Ticonderoga Auction coming up at Lt. Dave Stock’s house on Saturday, Oct 27th (we need to set up food assignments and get the last items for the auction). And finally October will wrap up with the annual USS Ticonderoga Halloween Party at the Stark’s in Clearfield (we need to talk about party specifics).
So bring your family and friends to the next USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting starting at 7pm, this Wednesday October 10th at the Weber County Library-Main Branch (25th and Jefferson in Ogden). See you all there.
USS Ticonderoga September monthly meeting

August USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting coming up on the 8th
This Wednesday, August 8th, is the upcoming USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting. This is where both the Command Staff and Crew put together the upcoming events for the club. We may have some out-of-town visitors who we haven’t seen in a while. The meeting starts at 7:00pm. We will also be talking about the upcoming Seventh Fleet Olympics that will be held on August 18th in Murray. Bring a friend and we will see you there.
July USS Ticonderoga monthly meeting is Wednesday
The monthly USS Ticonderoga meeting is coming up on Wednesday, July 11th. This will be held at 7:00pm at the Weber County Library-Main Branch on 25th and Jefferson in Ogden. We will be in the basement meeting rooms. Look for the USS Ticonderoga banner (seen on the right side of this website) hanging just outside the door. Please bring any donations for the upcoming Ticonderoga action (which will be on Sat, July 21st). This meeting is open to the public so bring your friends. We will also be talking about the upcoming TNG theatrical event coming up on Monday, July 23rd (and how we want to promote it).
Executive Officer Dave Stock will also be attending the Fleet Meeting at the end of the month so if you have anything for him to bring up, please get it to him ASAP.
