Since our start in 1996 we have made friends with many different clubs and organizations. Over the years we have given and received various gifts in the name of friendship. Because we wanted to thank them for their friendship and the efforts it took to put these gifts together (some are quite elaborate) we have set up this online trophy case to display them.
Letter from Admiral Hollinger:
At our 5th Anniversary Banquet in 2001 Admiral Dennis Hollinger read a letter that he had prepared. It also included a gift of a crystal turtle candle holder. Here is a copy of that letter.
Gifts from the USS Anasazi:
The USS Anasazi is one of the groups that we meet ever year at Starfest. Starfest is a Star Trek/SF convention held in Denver every April. It attracts fans from all over the country and has been running for over 35 years. Various clubs will have room parties and we will all catch up with friends we haven’t seen in a year. In 2005 the USS Anasazi gave us a commemorative drinking glass. In 2006 for the Anasazi’s 5th anniversary, they gave us a commemorative wine glass.
Gifts from the USS Pioneer:
Another group of friends that we had a chance to meet at Starfest was the USS Pioneer. The Pioneer has also made special efforts to come to various Salt Lake conventions and to meet members of the Seventh Fleet at three different campouts. In 2007 the Pioneer presented us with a commemorative Starfest 2007 poker chip. They did the same at the 2009 Starfest as well.
Letter from KUED:
In December 2008 the USS Ticonderoga joined with other members of our Seventh Fleet family to help with a KUED pledge drive. Alice Webber sent us this letter thanking us for our help. We have helped out at various pledge drives in the past and we look forward to helping with future pledge drives.
Photo from George Takei:
At the FanFest 2000 Star Trek convention in Salt Lake City, the guest of honor was George Takei. George has been very gracious to the fans and he is always a pleasure to meet at the numerous Star Trek conventions we have seen him at. At FanFest George signed an autograph to the crew of the USS Ticonderoga.
Note: We have other gifts to display here. We are currently trying to track them down from the different storage locations before we can photograph/scan them.
